Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Part Time Nights
We are in search of an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part‑time position! The individual will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Charge Nurses. Shift requirement: NIGHTS.

- Current LPN license
- 1+ years of experience as an LPN in a detox or similar treatment facility environment
- State LPN license in good standing
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Detox and psychiatric nursing experience required
- Experience administering medication orally, subcutaneously, and IM
- Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal pain and critically dangerous medical emergencies and respond appropriately
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to respond physically with swiftness to a patient emergency
- Able to respond calmly and timely during an emergency or potential emergency situation
- Familiarity with ASAM criteria preferred
- Familiarity with JCAHO Standards of Care for Behavioral Health
- Electronic Health Record experience
- Administers prescribed medications as prescribed by the medical team
- Makes independent decisions within the scope of the license involving patient care
- Uses sound judgment in informing the Chief Nursing Officer/Charge Nurse and the Medical Director of all decisions made and when/how they should be communicated
- Monitors and records through the Electronic Health System all aspects of the patient’s care, including:
- Nursing assessments at intake
- Shift assessments including CIWA and COWS assessments
- Changes in patient condition and updates on progress; other relevant documentation that arise with each patient
- Discharge assessments and paperwork; follows Universal Infection Control Precautions using personal protective equipment as required, ensures that direct care staff performs these precautions as well as abides by Infection Control and Exposure policies
- Reconciles medication at the end of each shift, which includes accurately maintaining logs of distribution of controlled substances in accordance with regulation
- Ensures that during shift change the nurse on duty is properly informed of any information needed to continue high‑standards of care for all patients
