Sommelier de Rang – Iconic Luxury Hotels
Iconic Luxury Hotels is seeking a Sommelier de Rang to join the team at Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa in New Forest, Hampshire. The successful candidate will promote wine service, enhance guest experience and support the hotel’s fine dining operations.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Sommelier team to deliver seamless wine service during lunch and dinner service.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the wine list, menus and beverage items and communicate recommendations confidently.
- Engage with guests, recommend wines to complement palates and meals, and upsell where appropriate.
- Take ownership of a wine service section, responding promptly and courteously to guest needs.
- Ensure cleanliness of all wine service equipment and storage areas in line with Chewton Glen standards.
- Desirable experience as a Sommelier de Rang or Junior Sommelier.
- Background in a fine‑dining restaurant is desirable.
- Strong wine knowledge and passion for development; WSET desirable.
- Enthusiastic, charismatic and communicative with keen eye for detail and organisational skills.
