Our client, located in the New Haven Shoreline area is a family-owned company with over 15 years of experience specializing in high-end luxury home building along the Connecticut Shoreline. Their diverse portfolio includes residential and commercial projects such as apartments, chain restaurants, retail, office, and medical buildings.
In addition to construction services, our client operates a fencing division that offers custom fence design and installation. This includes privacy fences, decorative fences, pet enclosures, pool fencing, and elegant entrance gates—crafted with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Oversee project schedules, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics.
- Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage permitting, inspections, and compliance with local and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including budgets, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
- Lead project meetings and provide timely reporting to stakeholders.
- Support the preconstruction team with estimating and bid reviews when necessary.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably involving residential/mixed-use buildings and medical office facilities.
- Proven track record managing projects ranging from $2M–$20M in value.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (but not required with equivalent experience).
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
