Project Manager

Our growing construction company is seeking a Project Manager with 7+ years of commercial construction experience. Candidates should have a proven track record of success with measurable achievements. The ideal candidate is an experienced manager with the proven ability to lead personnel while overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Development and maintenance of client/customer relationships
• Management of projects from initial client/customer contact and proposal phases, through construction and accounting close.
• Preconstruction process to include site surveys/site walks and subcontractor selection and preparation of client proposals.
• Developing/tracking project budgets to include all costs for labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Management of master schedules, project timelines and milestones
• Providing updates/formal weekly schedules for all current and prospective projects to owners/executive management
• Acquisition of all required permits
• Verification of inspection schedules and reports
• Submittal and approval of all subcontracts and change orders.
• On-site relations with client/customer, design consultants, facility representatives, subcontractors, and city officials

• Flexible detailed-oriented enthusiastic self-starter that is a team player with excellent communication, managerial and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.
• The ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
• Qualified experience in the Higher Education, Health Care and Retail markets are preferred.
• Positions will require scheduling, purchasing, estimating, as well as management of personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Project. Sage Project Management Software experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited construction related curriculum preferred.
• Minimum 7 years experience in Commercial Construction.
• Experience with the construction of site and building systems, and a thorough understanding of the construction process and practice.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple construction projects.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills.
• Familiarity with the practice of typical design and construction codes, standards, and guidelines.
• Must have a positive attitude towards change. Can identify the need, remove the barriers and has the know how to make things happen.
• Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people and shows good common sense and applied logic.
• OSHA 30
• Must be an enthusiastic self-starter that is a team player with excellent communication, managerial and interpersonal skills.
• The position requires conformance with all corporate and client confidentiality requirements, strict adherence to business ethics and practices, and a continual demonstration of professionalism throughout the delivery of services.
