OverviewAs a member of the internal communications team within the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, the IT Communications Associate Director reports to the Assistant Vice President, Internal Communications. The individual in this role will serve on the IT leadership team, provide support with strategic leadership messaging, and be responsible for the creation, management, and execution of internal communication for the IT division and developing communication plans to announce changes to the university community.
RequiredSkills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing communications for a range of media and working with creative professionals in design, photography or video.
- Well‑developed strategic thinking and tactical skill, and the ability to solve problems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, evaluate changing needs, and meet strict high‑level deadlines.
Education and Experience
Demonstrated experience in developing communications for a range of media and working with creative professionals in design, photography, or video.
Principal ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field and five years of experience in public relations, journalism, corporate communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in developing communications for a range of media and working with creative professionals in design, photography, or video.
