Overview
Fred Astaire Dance Studios is expanding and hiring for the position of Dance Instructor. If you love interacting with people, having fun, helping others, staying active, and having control over your earnings, you will enjoy a career with Fred Astaire Dance Studios. As a high-energy, customer-focused Dance Instructor, you will conduct private and group dance classes throughout the week. You will guide students as they achieve their personal dance goals, whether it is a single event or a lifelong journey of dance.
In addition to regular studio hours, we host events on weekday evenings and/or weekends that you would attend with your students.
Our studios offer group and private lessons with no partner required. We host local practice parties, national, inter-regional and regional dance competitions, and opportunities to choreograph dances for weddings or special events. We strive to provide a welcoming, growth-oriented environment for students and professionals alike.
Responsibilities- Conduct private and group dance classes throughout the week
- Guide students toward their personal dance goals, from beginners to advanced levels
- Attend events in the evenings and on weekends with students as part of the program
- Represent the Fred Astaire brand with a focus on kindness, warmth, and care within the studio community
- Are self-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about dance
- Have outstanding customer service skills
- Understand what it takes to be successful and are willing to commit to the work
- Hold themselves accountable
- Are team players and open to coaching and feedback
- Maintain a positive attitude and optimistic outlook
- Establish and maintain appropriate physical fitness and endurance for the role
