Long Wharf Dental is looking for a Part‑time Dental Hygiene Assistant in New Haven, Connecticut

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you support the dental staff, assist with treatments, promote preventive care, and maintain a clean, sterile clinical setting.

• Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $22.00

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.

• High school diploma or GED (Required).
• Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience.
• Radiology certification (if applicable).
• CPR certification (Preferred but can be obtained upon hiring).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
