All Teaching Faculty members shall prepare and teach college-approved courses in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules, including developing syllabi and reading lists and keeping each course taught complete and up to date; respond to and work with multiple constituencies, including students, peers, and external agencies; perform departmental responsibilities; and other teaching duties as outlined on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Responsibilities- Teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year, delivering a range of courses in the discipline area of study.
- Evaluate and assess student learning and provide student support and academic advising.
- Plan and execute program-related events; assist with program reviews; develop curriculum and periodically evaluate teaching materials.
- Attend workshops and/or conferences to maintain currency in profession and field.
- Administer clinical practicum for assigned students, providing clinical instruction and documenting evaluations leading to competence.
- Coordinate and evaluate students’ clinical experiences; advise students; administer existing program policies; conduct recruitment/orientation of students; perform clinical and academic instruction; supervise Clinical Instructors.
- Attend convocation and commencement ceremonies; service on assigned committees and task forces; and attend committee, staff, informational, and professional meetings, including evening or weekend events.
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related discipline.
- Current certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certified Nuclear Medicine Technology-ARRT (N) and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT).
- Five (5) years clinical experience with two (2) years in Nuclear Cardiology.
- Three (3) years full-time experience as an instructor in an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Allied Health related program.
- Proven ability to work effectively with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students.
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office, Teams, etc.).
- Master's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare or related discipline.
- Experience as a clinical coordinator.
- Experience in the accreditation process offered by The Joint Review on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT).
- Experience with curriculum development, program assessment and evaluation.
- Experience supervising faculty or staff.
- Experience incorporating technology to enhance the learning environment (e.g., Blackboard, online instruction).
Starting Salary:
Minimum Salary $75,362 approximate annual plus State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe benefits.
