  • Remuneration: $127k - $150k base prorated (+17% Super, leave loading)

Overview

This role has been created to support the Academic Calendar & Curriculum Transformation for the Medicine program in the School of Clinical Medicine  may be shared between two academics with fractions to be negotiated.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop learning activities, resources, assessment and feedback for Phase 3 Medicine students using suitable approaches and learning environments.
  • Initiate the development of experimental approaches to teaching, learning and assessment with support from senior academics.
  • Design and develop supports for student learning progression both individually and as a cohort to achieve positive learning and employability outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Medicine Program Assessment Lead to design and develop the new programmatic assessment of learning program, including developing the student assessment dashboard.
  • Collaborate with Medicine Program Redesign Course Design Teams, Year-level Working Groups, Discipline Leads, Communities of Practice and professional staff.
Qualifications & Experience
  • PhD in a related discipline (preferred) or equivalent qualification, and/or a qualification in higher education and relevant work experience.
  • Clinical qualifications (e.g. FRACGP) considered if lacking a PhD but possessing experience in assessment and/or higher education qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. discipline‑based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work‑integrated learning (desirable).
  • Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
