Position Description

The Senior Financial Analyst for Operations FP&A will be responsible for providing analytical, reporting, and financial planning support across multiple Operations units. This position plays a critical role in helping unit leaders understand financial performance, identify trends, and make informed operational and strategic decisions.

The Senior Financial Analyst will support key FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial monitoring, as well as assist in the development of long-range financial models and reports. Working closely with unit leaders across the Operations portfolio, the Senior Financial Analyst will prepare recurring and ad hoc analyses that provide insight into operational performance, resource utilization, and cost drivers.

The position’s responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial reports and dashboards, conducting variance analyses, and participating in monthly financial review discussions with unit leadership. The Senior Financial Analyst will also contribute to the preparation of presentations and materials for senior leadership, ensuring data accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

In addition to recurring responsibilities, the Senior Financial Analyst will conduct specialized analyses on topics relevant to Operations units, supporting both short‑term management decisions and long‑term planning efforts. The role also involves supporting ad hoc financial modeling and data requests, often tied to strategic initiatives, capital planning, or operational improvements.

The Senior Financial Analyst must demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, comfort with financial systems and data visualization tools, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, accounting, financial management, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex analysis and make independent decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software, with the ability to create complex financial reports for tracking, analysis, and communication.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to address the needs of individuals at all levels, and a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with financial information and multiple financial systems, facilitating meetings, and collaborating effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and concurrent priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
