Computer Support Specialist

The position utilizes, evaluates and coordinates software and hardware for new and existing applications to meet the business needs of the organization(s). The incumbent supports assigned projects and assists in the timely resolution of problems to determine the most effective IT approach. The incumbent may provide guidance and informal training to users.

This position is responsible for assisting with the design and implementation hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and training staff on correct operating procedures. This position also supports RWA’s Cyber Security function.

Onside in New Haven, CT. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Bachelor’s or related degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
• Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity.

• Minimum two years’ experience in trouble shooting and support of hardware and software related to radio, telephone and ancillary systems.
• Experience in project management, communication system backup and recovery and workflow analysis.
