Marshall Dennehey, a leading AM Law 200 civil defense law firm with more than 60 years of dedicated service to our corporate, insurance and individual clients, is seeking an Associate Attorney with two to four years of litigation experience to join our growing Workers’ Compensation Department in New Haven, Connecticut.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Job DescriptionThis is an exceptional opportunity to litigate a variety of workers’ compensation claims involving high‑exposure, complex litigation. Common claims we litigate involve repetitive trauma, occupational disease, and death and hearing loss claims. We represent clients across numerous industries including construction, manufacturing, technology, health care, retail, education and more.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:
- Litigate workers’ compensation claims across various industries.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
- Collaborate with the team in a diverse and inclusive environment, adopting proactive and innovative defense strategies.
- Develop case management skills under mentorship, progressing from case inception through resolution.
- Two to four years of litigation experience.
- Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
- Commitment to a steady and consistent work history and a desire to advance within the firm.
