Accounts Payable Specialist

Wiggin and Dana LLP seeks a senior associate or counsel to join our dynamic and growing Real Estate practice in our Boston, Connecticut or New York office locations. Qualified candidates will have 5-10 years’ experience representing companies, developers, franchisees, investors, and other entities in sophisticated real estate matters, with a focus on commercial leasing, franchise and distribution, and general corporate real estate.

Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and broader experience in the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties is required. Experience representing franchisees, including reviewing and negotiating agreements, renewals and transfers, as well as experience in the acquisition of assets and general corporate tasks is highly preferred. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be highly motivated, have strong communication skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision.

The target base pay range for this role is $185,000-$220,000 and is dependent on experience and other relevant factors.

Candidates should have three to six years’ experience handling a broad range of New York state commercial cases and probate litigation matters. Responsibilities include drafting and responding to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and participating in hearings, depositions, and client meetings. Strong working knowledge of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) is required. Candidates must also have excellent academic credentials, be highly motivated, and have strong communication skills.

The target base pay range for this role in New York is $200,000 – $260,000 and is dependent on experience, geography, and other relevant factors.
