Senior Accounting Manager

Join LULAC Head Start Inc. as a Senior Accounting Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will manage all financial operations, budgeting, program compliance, and grant reporting for the agency.

• Actively manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Supervise the ERSEA/Fiscal Specialist, overseeing billing, invoicing, accounts receivable and payable functions.
• Develop, revise, and monitor budgets for programs and new services.
• Collaborate with HR and the Executive Director to supervise payroll.
• Maintain finance policies, procedures, and staff training.
• Oversee procurement procedures and ensure program compliance.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to prepare annual and one-time grant applications and manage related budgets.
• Review financial reporting required by funding sources and manage agency banking and cash flow.
• Negotiate and execute contracts with funding sources, vendors, and partners.
• Ensure accounting control systems and internal audits produce accurate financial reports.
• Implement regulatory changes to maintain compliance.
• Review employee benefit program efficiency and recommend cost savings.
• Serve as primary liaison with the independent auditor for annual audit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred).
• 5-7 years of senior management experience in an organization with >$5 million annual operations and >100 employees, preferably a nonprofit social-service agency.
• Managerial experience with nonprofit social services.
• Certified Public Accountant qualification is an advantage.

Full-time, Director level.
