Overview

Daily Substitute Nurse role at Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES).

• The nurse uses accepted standards of practice to assess, manage and treat student health issues, according to established plan of care, medication or treatment authorization, and in compliance with department procedures, agency policies, and district regulations and statutes.

• Current certification in CPR and AED
• One year relevant clinical experience
• Current CT RN License, BSN preferred
• Ability to apply the nursing process in new situations
• Organization and flexibility
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills with willingness to learn
• Positive, inclusive attitude
• Knowledge and skill assessing and managing pediatric/adolescent health
• Care coordination skills
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, and collaborate with a nursing colleague
