American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a short-term winter coverage night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring CT/compact RN license and neuro telemetry experience.

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• 10-week contract specifically for winter coverage
• Average patient ratio of 1:4-5 for both days and nights
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system
• Friday start includes virtual orientation, reporting onsite the following Monday

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required before start date
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital)
• Neuro Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• 1 professional reference required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious/medical exemptions only

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a Neuro Med/Surg Tele unit
• No holiday RTO permitted for this assignment
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with additional RTO beyond 7 days subject to approval
• Local radius restrictions waived for this 10-week assignment
• Candidates must be gone from previous staff employment for 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Travelers may be expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this specific assignment
