American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of oncology experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• Inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology unit in a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
• Patient ratios average 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used
• Royal blue scrub color

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (1.5 years considered if Level I trauma or travel experience)
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/infusions, accessing and managing ports, central line blood draws, and PCA pump management
• Oncology and telemetry oncology experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required

• Provide inpatient oncology nursing care including pain management and port care
• Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center setting with 1,500+ staffed beds
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemptions
• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
