American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a day-shift position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2 years of experience and a compact or CT RN license.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratios average 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights, and 1:5 on weekends
• Day shift schedule of 4x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• No on-call requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start, pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital)
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Proficient in isolation precautions and PPE use
• Experience with non-invasive airway management
• Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Experience with peripheral line care and management
• 1 professional reference required

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care in a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center setting
• Participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the hospital to be considered
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be auto-approved
