American Traveler is hiring an RN
- Med/Surg Tele for a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• Observation unit within a Med/Surg Tele department at a short-term acute care hospital
• Floating required between sister units within scope
• Average patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start date
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in specialty required (1.5 years considered with Level I trauma or travel experience)
• Trauma Level I experience at a large facility required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry skills required
• 1 professional reference required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with medical or religious exemption only

• Provide care to Med/Surg Tele patients including respiratory, cardiac, renal, and neurological cases
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed
• Scrub color is royal blue
• Obligated to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities if required by the facility
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• RTO requests of up to 7 days can be auto-approved
