American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center requiring at least 2 years of recent experience and an active CT or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center hospital
• Average patient ratio of 1:5-6 across days, nights, and weekends
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to sister units, including Observation, within scope required
• Uses Epic charting system
• 10-week winter coverage contract

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required in specialty (1.5 years considered for Level I Trauma or travel experience)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Prior charge experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies

• Provide direct patient care in a large academic, Level I Trauma Center setting
• Participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• No holiday RTO permitted for this assignment
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed during the contract
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local radius restrictions are waived for this 10-week assignment
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Experience at a large trauma center facility is required for consideration
