American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring ventilator and tracheostomy management experience at a Level I Trauma Center.

• MS/Tele unit in a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio average of 1:5-6
• Required to work every other weekend
• May float frequently between sister units NP1 & EP 4-6
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic for charting
• Caseload includes overflow ventilator patients requiring trach care and pulmonary vent weaning, as well as non-vent patients

• Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if active prior to start date)
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital)
• Ventilator management experience required, including tracheostomy care and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and Rapid Response/Code team utilization
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required

• This is a short-term 10-week contract specifically for winter coverage
• Local radius restrictions waived for this 10-week assignment
• Must start by 12/18/2026
• No holiday RTO permitted, with a maximum of 5 RTO days allowed
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only
• Returning staff must have been separated from employment for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
