American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 10-week winter coverage assignment requiring a strong ortho background and a CT or Compact RN license.

• Works in the Operating Room, specifically the McGivney Ortho Surgical Center
• Short term acute care, Level I Trauma Center facility with 1,567 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Must remain until the end of a case if it runs past scheduled shift end time
• No on-call requirements
• No weekend requirements
• 10-week contract specifically for winter coverage
• Guaranteed hours included

• Active CT or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgical background required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, vascular, urology, ENT, and robotics
• Scrubs provided in misty green color
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
• Must be gone at least 2 years before returning as a traveler if previously employed on staff
• No more than 5 days RTO permitted during this assignment
• No holiday RTO permitted
• Local radius restrictions waived specifically for this 10-week assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Must be available to start by 12/18/2026
