American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift role at a Level I Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of oncology experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• Inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Average patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic charting system used

• Active RN license, CT or compact, required prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (1.5 years considered for candidates with Level I trauma or travel experience)
• Experience with IV therapy/infusions required
• Experience accessing and managing ports, including port care and central line blood draws required
• Experience with PCA pump management required
• Oncology experience required, telemetry oncology experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• One professional reference required

• Provide direct patient care to inpatient oncology population in a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center setting
• Travelers are expected to participate in any natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
• Former staff must have a 2-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are considered local
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
