American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift role requiring 2 years of experience and Level I Trauma Center background.

• Med/Surg Telemetry observation unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center academic medical facility
• Average patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if active prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (1.5 years considered with Level I Trauma or travel experience)
• Trauma Level I experience at a large facility required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team protocols
• Skills in respiratory care, IV therapy, wound care, and isolation precautions required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Telemetry observation unit setting
• Participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Required to wear royal blue scrubs
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID vaccine booster required with medical/religious exemptions only
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a travel employee
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
