American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology position requiring a CT or compact RN license and prior Level I Trauma Center experience.

• Medical Surgical Oncology unit in a Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center with 1,567 staffed beds
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ONS/Chemo certification preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in specialty required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital)
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• Skills in chest tube care and management, dysrhythmia interpretation, tracheostomy care/management, and post-surgical care
• 1 professional reference required

• Provide medical surgical oncology nursing care including post-surgical and chemotherapy-related care
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemption
• First-time travelers will be considered
