We are excited to add a Surgical Account Executive to our sales team. The position offers a base salary of $84,000‑$102,000 plus commissions based on relevant experience, education, and location.

Position Summary

Lead and manage all sales and marketing activities within the assigned market to develop new accounts and maintain or expand existing ones. Execute the company’s sales strategy, penetration goals, and initiatives, establishing and sustaining revenue growth and market penetration. Develop strategies to increase market share by targeting therapeutic specialties in the assigned market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage a developing market with several contract sales agents, with higher sales volume than entry‑level positions and no direct reports.
  • Plan, develop and execute key account strategies, focusing on high‑use physicians and building key metro area accounts.
  • Create systems and procedures for key accounts to ease product use, ensure best patient outcomes, and provide a positive customer experience.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts, analyze market opportunities, barriers, and growth strategies.
  • Develop local contract sales agents, resources, and budgets to meet or exceed sales plan objectives.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor market‑specific sales factors to capitalize on opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Maintain a goal‑oriented environment that stresses performance, accountability, teamwork, credibility, and success.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support the local sales team in the assigned market, fielding questions and providing approved materials.
  • Coordinate sales activities with assigned accounts, serving as a liaison between the local team and contract sales agents to ensure a unified approach and accurate commission payments.
  • Leverage company contracts and resources to recruit new contract sales agents, identify high‑use physicians, and develop a training program for new and existing agents.
Education/Experience
  • B.S./B.A. in a related discipline.
  • 2‑5 years of experience in a related field with 1‑3 years of progressively responsible positions, or verifiable ability.
OR
  • M.S./M.A. with 1‑3 years of experience in a related field; certification required in some areas.
  • Preferred 3‑4 years of experience in medical device, biotechnology, and tissue segments of the healthcare industry.
  • Previous experience in high‑growth organizations and building relationships that fueled growth.
Skills/Competencies
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to interact with all management levels and customers.
  • Ability to influence others using tenacity and diplomacy.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to multi‑task while maintaining high efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze markets, plan sales strategies, and present clinical and scientific data to physicians.
  • Proven track record of sales results and recognitions.
  • Successful achievement of sales goals and top‑line growth.
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic selling and market analytics.
  • Ability to build a moderate‑size network of relationships with healthcare providers (physicians, clinicians, program directors, etc.).
Work Environment

Work is mainly field‑based, meeting customers and accounts at various locations. Travel is required 30‑40% of the time.
