Commercial Lines Account Manager
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is the tactical relationship anchor of the team bridging client needs, carrier negotiations, and renewal management. AMs own the renewal and retention flow of their assigned book of business, ensure timely negotiations, and identify cross-sell opportunities. They operate under the leadership of an Account Executive, focusing on execution, accuracy, and proactive client engagement.
Compensation: $60,000 $ 80,000 base + Team Performance Bonus

Key ResponsibilitiesRenewal Ownership:
Manage all aspects of the renewal process track expirations, collect updated exposure data, and coordinate with carriers.
Carrier Negotiation:
Secure competitive terms, pricing, and coverage based on client needs and carrier appetite.
Client Retention:
Maintain a 95%+ renewal rate through proactive outreach, documentation, and follow-up.
Cross-Selling:
Identify opportunities for additional coverage or services within the client portfolio.
Account Support:
Partner with the CSR for servicing tasks and with the AE for client relationship discussions.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure policies and binders meet regulatory and internal documentation standards.
Regional Knowledge:
Navigate and service accounts primarily across New York, California, and Texas, with the flexibility to handle others.
Workflow Optimization:
Suggest process improvements to reduce service time and improve client outcomes.
46+ years of commercial insurance experience, preferably in mid-market accounts.
Tactical knowledge of coverages, policy forms, and commercial risk appetite.
Strong understanding of renewal workflows, policy audits, and carrier relationships.
AMS expertise capable of navigating Epic, AMS
360, or similar systems.
Multi-state (not single-state only) experience highly preferred.
Strong written communication, negotiation, and task-prioritization skills.
Demonstrated success in achieving renewal and retention goals.
