Livery Driver

• Respond to appropriate location given, observing all traffic laws and company policy regarding vehicle operations.
• Determine transportation needs of patient.
• Safely operate company vehicles at all times.
• Ensure that seat belts are appropriately used when driving, and that the passenger is properly seat belted.
• Transport patients/clients to destination using skill and adequate caution when driving to avoid sudden motions detrimental to patient safety and comfort.
• Verbally communicate with dispatcher as appropriate to receive assignments and to relay all information relative to patient transportation needs.
• Document in writing using appropriate forms all incidents or accidents in accordance with company policy or as requested by management.
• Help maintain vehicle in a safe and efficient operating condition by conducting pre-trip vehicle checklist.
• Ensure that the vehicle is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, inside and out.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Inventory equipment and supplies at the start of each shift and replace as needed during a shift.
• Participate in marketing, public relations or community service activities involving the company and contracted communities and facilities.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and, as an experienced limo driver, may assist in the orientation and development of new employees.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

Holds and maintains motor vehicle operator license in state of legal residence and a Public Safety License (F endorsement). Maintains current medical card to satisfy medical requirements for a valid PSL F endorsement.
