Part-time
DescriptionThe Ramp Crew member will provide safe ground coordination of arriving and departing aircrafts, including but not limited to the oversight of customer boarding and deplaning, baggage handling, and aircraft servicing.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe environment for our Customers and Crew members while safely and timely operating within company standards.
- Maintain a pro-active approach to safety by taking immediate corrective action for any unsafe act.
- Act as an individual contributor to safety with no direct safety incidents involving customers, crew members, or company assets.
- Attend and participate in safety briefings and meetings.
- Operate ramp equipment such as bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft pushbacks, and servicing vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate aircraft movements to ensure on-time performance.
- Perform as a wing walker and/or marshaller to protect aircraft during movements.
- Ensure aircraft are positioned on-time according to the operational plan.
- Control baggage loading and handling to ensure proper weight, balance, and security.
- Maintain accuracy of baggage records and aircraft cargo bins.
- Ensure aircraft appearance standards by providing clean interiors and stocked supplies.
- Complete all required data entry accurately and timely.
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Work in various environmental conditions, heights, small spaces, and loud noises.
- Lift and move up to 70 pounds regularly and carry heavy items up and down ramp stairs.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid US driver’s license
- Pass FBI background check and obtain security badge
- Work in stressful environments and various weather conditions
- Operate equipment safely and report malfunctions
- Prepare aircraft for boarding and departure, including cleaning and servicing
- Dependable, enthusiastic, positive attitude
- Work well in a team
- Confront unauthorized personnel and report as necessary
Previous aviation ramp experience is a plus.
Responsibilities may change due to circumstances such as emergencies or workload.
