• Analyze blueprints to determine project scope and requirements.
• Utilize Bluebeam software for the layout of mechanical systems.
• Perform system take-offs using Quote Soft Pipe and Quote Soft Duct.
• Collect and organize data to support project estimates.
• Build and maintain project estimates in Microsoft Excel.
• Communicate with vendors regarding equipment and fixture selection.
• Coordinate with trade partners to address project needs (e.g., temperature controls and insulation).
• Engage with customers to review upcoming estimates and clarify prior submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers to support planning, organization, and progress tracking.
• Actively participate in estimate review meetings and provide feedback.
• Lead estimate reviews to guide and mentor other team members.
• Conduct estimated versus actual performance analysis to identify variances.
• Prepare bid breakdowns and complete bid matrices.
• Draft clear and professional proposals for submission.

• 5+ years of experience in commercial and industrial mechanical estimating
  • Plumbing
  • Pipe fitting
  • Sheet metal
  • Medical & laboratory gases – preferred, but not required
  • Process Piping – preferred, but not required
• General mechanical knowledge of the following market sectors
  • Hospitals
  • R&D Facilities/laboratories
  • Manufacturing
  • Data Centers
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Semiconductors
• Familiarity of Quote Soft estimating software preferred, but not required
• Detail orientated with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
• Understanding of MCAA labor rates/install efficiencies
