Pivotal position to our success. We are in an immediate need of a skilled chemical maintenance technician to maintain production chemistry within guidelines and assist with chemical waste treatment.
Position DetailsLocation:
Warehouse environment with exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and noise. This role involves handling make-up chemicals, maintenance, and repair of process chemistry systems as directed by the Chemical Lab Manager.
- Uphold company policies and procedures
- Batch treatments and tank change outs as required by the lab
- Maintain weekly and month-end chemical inventories
- Maintain chemical filtration systems for production lines
- Maintain chemical maintenance equipment in proper working order
- Observe all company safety and PPE requirements
- Maintain good housekeeping in chemical maintenance areas
- Receive and store incoming chemicals per internal procedures
- Assist Hazardous Waste department when necessary and cross-train to fill in during vacations or leaves
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED;
Technical training or certification in chemical maintenance or related field is a plus - 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing/production preferred
- Hazardous materials training (Hazwoper) and DOT hazardous materials training
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Fluent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English
- Must be a US citizen or have authorization to work in the US
- Ability to read a ruler/tape measure and analog clock
- Working knowledge of plating tank chemistry; CEF certification helpful
- Good organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
- Math skills and ability to troubleshoot chemical-related issues
- Basic understanding of chemical waste treatment
- Ability to interact cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently
- Wage: $26.00/hour + DOE
- Signing Bonus: $1500 (current employees not eligible)
