A HANDS-ON PRODUCTION JOB FOR SOMEONE WHO LIKES TO THINKThis isn't a typical assembly-line job.
As a Plater / Line Operator
, you'll operate a metal-finishing production line and be responsible for getting parts through the process correctly, safely, and on schedule.
There's a little science, some problem-solving, plenty of hands-on work, and a strong get-it-done attitude involved.
You do not need previous plating experience. We will train the right person. What we do is not taught in schools.
What we do need is someone who can read and follow written instructions, learn a process, pay attention to details, troubleshoot when something doesn't look right, and reliably show up as part of the crew every day.
If you like staying busy, working with your hands, figuring things out, and seeing what you accomplished at the end of the day, this may be a good fit.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Operate an assigned metal-finishing production line.
- Read and follow work orders, process sheets, written instructions, and SOPs.
- Verify that parts are processed according to customer and quality requirements.
- Monitor tanks, equipment, timing, temperatures, chemistry, and other process requirements.
- Make routine adjustments within established procedures.
- Recognize when something doesn't look right and take appropriate action.
- Perform basic calculations and measurements related to the plating process.
- Inspect parts throughout the process for quality and potential problems.
- Keep production moving while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Complete required production paperwork accurately.
- Work closely with Rackers, other Line Operators, Leads, Quality, and Production Management.
- Follow safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Help the crew meet daily production requirements.
You don't need to come to us knowing how to plate metal.
We can teach you the plating process. We're looking for someone who:
- Shows up consistently and on time. Production lines depend on having the full crew in place.
- Can read, understand, and follow written work instructions and SOPs.
- Is comfortable learning processes involving multiple steps and details.
- Can use basic math and measurements.
- Notices when something seems wrong and is willing to stop, ask questions, and figure it out.
- Can work independently once trained while still following established procedures.
- Takes quality seriously — these are customer parts, and mistakes matter.
- Can maintain a steady work pace throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Is comfortable working in an industrial production environment.
- Works well as part of a crew and helps where needed.
- Wants to learn, earn more, and build additional skills…
