The Lab Supervisor is responsible for the professional application of the principles, theories, and techniques of clinical laboratory science necessary to produce reliable results that aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The supervisor must work efficiently, unsupervised, exercise independent judgment, maintain skills in both manual and automated testing of moderate and high complexity across all laboratory sections, manage computer skills including proficiency in the Laboratory Information System, and adhere to all regulatory requirements.

• B.S. degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biological Science

• Certification as Medical Technologist by ASCP or NCA
• Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Generalist with the LSBME
• 12 months internship through a School of Medical Technology or previous MLT training
• 2 years experience as a Medical Technologist
