IMC is currently looking to hire a Registered Nurse in our Surgery Department
, on a full-time basis
. A qualified candidate must be able to apply nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation) in caring for patients effectively. Interact with patient, significant others, and other healthcare team members. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.
- Graduate of state approved School of Nursing.
- Current licenses as an RN in the state of Louisiana.
- Previous experience preferred, but not required.
- Full Time Schedule (36-40 hours/week)
- Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
- Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
- With the patient and family, systematically and continually assesses the patient's health.
- Applies the nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions.
- Assesses, collaborates and coordinates in planning of patient's discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
- Participates in departmental and hospital improvement plan.
- Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
- Consistently lives by Iberia Medical Center's Standards of Performance.
