IMC is currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for IMC Behavioral Health
, who isresponsibleforrendering safe nursing care to patients; supervising, directing, and monitoring the nursing care assigned to her/him; administering medications, performing venipuncture, assisting in the supervision and training of CNAs; and performs related duties, and using the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population.

• Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
• Current license as a LPN in the state of Louisiana.
• Must maintain CPR and EDGE certifications
• Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• Demonstrates knowledge of LA Mental Health Statutes
• Knowledge of anatomy

• Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
• Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care
• Applies the nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions
• Identifies patient and family education needs and in collaboration with other disciplines initiates education needs according to the age of the patient.
• Participates in planning of patients discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
• Participates in departmental and hospital improvement plan
• Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center
• Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient and organizational data
