OverviewIMC is currently hiring an LPN – Inpatient Rehab
, who is responsible for rendering safe nursing care to patients; supervising, directing, and monitoring the nursing care assigned to her/him; administering medications, performing venipuncture, bladder/bowel management, assisting in the supervision and training of CNAs; and performs related duties, and using the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the adult and geriatric population.
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- Current license as an LPN in the state of Louisiana.
- Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
- Knowledge of anatomy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
- Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
- Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Applies the nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions.
- Identifies patient and family education needs and in collaboration with other disciplines initiates education needs according to the age of the patient.
- Participates in planning of patients discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
- Participates in departmental and hospital improvement plan.
- Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
- Consistently lives by the Iberia Medical Center Standards of Performance.
- Adheres to the Patient Safety Goals.
