Location:
New Iberia, LA, 70560
- Routine and preventative maintenance of all equipment, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, building and grounds.
- Assist in the maintenance records of planned and actual service dates and materials used.
- Assist in the maintenance of inspection records.
- Assist in electrical work in shop and main building area under direction of a Maintenance Technician II possessing a current state electrical license.
- Work at elevated heights up to 75ft.
- Must pass hazardous material handling safety training (DOT HM 126
F) and fall protection equipment inspection safety training (NFPA 70
E). - Additional duties may be assigned.
- Stooping, kneeling, standing/walking.
- Driving.
- Pushing/pulling/lifting 0‑50 lbs.
- Use of electrical equipment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The required qualifications include:
- Experience or education in facilities maintenance or related field.
- Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work at heights up to 75 ft.
- Completion of hazardous material handling safety training and fall protection equipment inspection safety training.
- State electrical license or ability to be supervised by licensed technician.
