Life Sciences Audit Senior at Withum
Join our audit and attest engagement services team as a Life Sciences Audit Senior based out of our East Brunswick, Princeton, Whippany or Red Bank, NJ office.
How You’ll Spend Your Time- Leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review, or compilation engagement to provide world-class client service.
- Overseeing daily operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.
- Providing supervision and support to the engagement staff and promoting open communication with the engagement manager and partner.
- Collaborating with managers and partners on client issue resolutions and making recommendations for any legal, regulatory, or accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement.
- Reviewing all scheduled and non‑scheduled general ledger accounts for accurate entries.
- Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
- Creating and tracking engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit.
- Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly.
- Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification.
- At least 2 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast‑paced, interactive, results‑based team environment.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skill.
- Ability to travel as needed.
The compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 to $105,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, and the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
