Senior Tax Accountant – Hybrid

Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for a hybrid role based in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

Job Function

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Lead and manage multiple client engagements, ensuring all deadlines, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
• Perform complex tax research and present findings and recommendations through detailed memoranda.
• Identify and implement proactive tax planning strategies and opportunities for clients.
• Communicate directly with clients to collect information, discuss results, and provide ongoing advisory support.
• Assist with IRS and state audits, notices, and other correspondence.
• Stay informed on current tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff, reviewing work for accuracy, completeness, and professional development.
• Partner with firm leadership to strengthen client relationships and support business development initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting.
• CPA license an big plus.
• 3+ years of public tax experience.
