Senior Accountant
Location: Branchburg, NJ (On-site, hybrid after acclimated)

About the Role:
Our client, a dynamic and growing organization in the Branchburg, NJ area, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a hands‑on role responsible for full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting, supporting month‑and‑year‑end close activities, cash management, forecasting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Manage full month- and year-end close
, including balance sheet and P&L analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries - Handle monthly intercompany/subsidiary billings and quarterly intercompany reconciliations
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and monthly bank and investment account reconciliations
- Conduct weekly cash analysis and forecasting
- Collaborate with Project Managers and the Controller for monthly receivables review and follow‑up
- Support monthly forecasting and prepare financial reports and analysis for quarterly business development meetings
- Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns (monthly/quarterly/annual)
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
- Cross‑train across accounting functions and support ad hoc projects, schedules, analysis, and reporting as needed
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
; CPA preferred - Experience in both public accounting and private industry is highly desirable
- Strong work ethic, detail‑oriented, organized, professional, and reliable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment
- Advanced Excel skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Teams environment preferred
