Tax Supervisor

Location: Parsippany

Description Kforce's client, a regional CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Supervisor in Parsippany, NJ. This firm offers a great work life balance, annual bonus, good benefits along with the opportunity to advance. This role can work up to 1 day remote.

Responsibilities include:

* Prepare and review complex tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and high-net worth individuals, ensuring financial accuracy.
* Identify and assist with tax planning opportunities, provide consulting services to clients, and participate in client management
* Conduct tax research and draft memoranda on technical issues
* Manage multiple client engagements independently and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
* Communicate with clients and tax authorities regarding tax matters and controversies
* Collaborate with audit and advisory teams for integrated client service;
Supervise, mentor, and train staff and seniors
* Participate in firm enhancement, marketing efforts, and various projects and initiatives beyond core responsibilities Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
Master's in Taxation preferred. Proficiency in tax software (CCH Axcess, Pro System fx) and Microsoft Office
* CPA is a plus (or going for a CPA)
* 4-7 years of public accounting tax experience with a focus on tax compliance and planning
* Strong understanding of tax laws and accounting principles
