Established healthcare organization is seeking Grant Accountants to support the financial management and reporting of grant-funded programs. This is a hands-on role focused on post-award grant accounting, reimbursement, compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities- Perform post-award grant accounting, including budget and expense analysis
- Prepare and submit accurate grant financial reports and reimbursement requests
- Monitor grant expenditures and ensure compliance with funding requirements
- Work with hospital departments and grant administrators on budgets and budget revisions
- Track allowable and unallowable expenses under grant agreements
- Reconcile grant releases, revenues, expenses, and related journal entries
- Reconcile invoice submissions against recognized grant revenue
- Reconcile payroll expenses to grant funding
- Provide detailed GL and monthly grant reports to program managers
- Support grant audits, including Uniform Guidance audits
- Maintain the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- Grant accounting experience required
- Experience with grant reimbursement, financial reporting, and compliance
- Healthcare or nonprofit experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion or another ERP preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Hybrid after initial training period
- First 90 days fully onsite
- 3 days onsite per week thereafter
