Senior Cost Accountant

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a leading global food manufacturing client. This individual will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Accounting to improve manufacturing financial performance across cost accounting, inventory control, standard costing, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting. The Manufacturing Finance Controller will provide actionable insights into production costs and operational efficiency, support capital investments and new-product launches, and help drive process improvements through automation, Power BI, and ERP enhancements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing finance professional to gain exposure to both local operations and global controlling initiatives

• Lead monthly manufacturing reporting, cost-center reviews, and variance analysis
• Analyze labor, materials, overhead, scrap, waste, yield, and production-efficiency performance
• Maintain standard costs for finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials
• Complete annual cost rolls and ongoing standard-cost maintenance
• Validate bills of materials and production routings for financial accuracy
• Monitor inventory valuation, manufacturing absorption, write-offs, cycle counts, and physical inventories
• Support manufacturing budgets and forecasts
• Maintain manufacturing KPI dashboards and present actionable financial insights
• Evaluate capital investments and support new-product cost and profitability analyses
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with internal and external audits

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or FP&A within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting and standard costing
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
