General Sales Manager (GSM) – Ford Dealership
Location: Randolph NJ / East Hanover NJ
Compensation: $160,000 – $250,000 annually (performance-based)
Benefits: Full Benefits Package + 401(k)
We are a high-volume, growth-oriented Multi Ford dealership group seeking an experienced General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead and elevate our sales operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving new and used vehicle performance, developing a strong sales team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all aspects of new and used vehicle sales operations
- Drive sales volume, gross profit, and market share while maintaining compliance
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop Sales Managers and Sales Consultants
- Establish and monitor sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with Finance, Service, and Fixed Ops to optimize dealership performance
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and CSI performance
- Oversee inventory management, pricing strategies, and desking processes DMS R&R
- Maintain strong relationships with Ford representatives and adhere to OEM standards
- Proven experience as aGeneral Sales Manager or Sales Director in an automotive dealership
- Ford dealership experience strongly preferred
- Track record of achieving high sales volume and profitability
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Deep understanding of desking, inventory management, and automotive retail analytics
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- $160,000 – $250,000++ annual earning potential (base + performance incentives)
