Purpose

The Strategic Customer Group provides account management and customer support services to key health care customers, including hospital systems and group purchasing organizations, leading health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and government health care institutions. The company also provides contract management, logistics and supply chain functions for the major Johnson & Johnson franchises.

The Manager, Contract Strategy & Analytics, is responsible for supporting strong governance across assigned processes by ensuring activities follow established policies, controls, and requirements. This role maintains accurate documentation, monitors compliance with standards, and partners with cross‑functional teams to identify and address gaps, propose and implement efficiencies and solutions. This position supports risk mitigation efforts, and ensures consistent, well‑governed operations within their area of responsibility.

A robust governance structure for contract and pricing activities ensures that all programs operate within the defined scope and maintain compliance across the three key phases of the contract lifecycle:
Strategy Development, Offer Development, and Contract Management.

As a Manager, Contract Strategy & Analytics You Will
  • Lead all aspects of the governance process, including managing the scheduling, facilitation, and administration of standing committees that oversee contract and pricing activities. Provide support to the Strategic Customer Group (SCG) as the primary steward of contract and pricing governance.
  • Collaborate directly with business partners to provide strategic guidance on activities across various SCG functions, including reviewing overall transactions, overseeing and monitoring reports, and supporting other essential business activities as necessary.
  • Continuously seek and implement process improvements to ensure governance frameworks are efficient, responsive to business needs, and effective in mitigating risks associated with commercial contract activities.
  • Ensure that pricing and contracting strategies, as well as fee‑for‑service arrangements with commercially contracted customers, align with governance standards and comply with guidance documents and Health Care Compliance (HCC) policies.
  • Manage all audit requests by providing records and documentation as necessary.
  • Oversee the ongoing management and maintenance of all governance‑related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, analytics, and technology solutions. Ensure comprehensive training for all governance stakeholders and proper documentation according to established SOPs.
Education
  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s or higher degree is preferred.
Experience & Skills
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant business experience is required.
  • Excellent analytical, business acumen, organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of web‑based reporting tools.
  • Ability to influence and present to all levels of leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and partner with cross‑functional teams and all levels of the organization is required.
  • Ability to identify and analyze situations, opportunities, and problems. This includes the ability to initiate appropriate actions and solutions to maximize business effectiveness.
  • Candidate must be innovative, proactive and self‑motivated to seek out opportunities to develop new and innovative solutions.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time to domestic destinations.
