Construction Estimator; Senior Level

Our long time client, a leader in the infrastructure construction space, is searching for an experienced Estimator to work on projects including civil engineering, underground utilities, pipe rehabilitation (trenchless), and renewable energy throughout New Jersey and the surrounding states.

• Develop a complete estimate for assigned opportunities.
• Develop a schedule to complete estimates in a timely manner.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Develop means and methods, with site conditions in mind, to build the project.
• Read project specifications and perform takeoffs as needed.
• Work with (teach) Estimating Engineers to help them perform quantity takeoffs and solicit vendors, quotes for materials and subcontractor needs.
• Discuss/review the project and your estimate with upper management in a bid review.
• Close out/complete the estimate and submit estimate to owner.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar preferred.
• 5+ years experience as an Estimator bidding on large/complex projects.
• 7+ years field construction experience.
• Ability to read & understand contract drawings and specifications.
• Comfort presenting to upper management.
• Estimating software package experience. Knowledge of Bluebeam, Agtek, and/or other estimating takeoff software preferred.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling software.
• Strong Excel, Outlook and Word experience
