Purpose:

TheVOLLERSConstruction

Superintendentprovidesthefieldleadershipnecessarytoplan,organize,direct,coordinateandcontroldailyjobsiteactivities.

Thepositionisresponsibleforexecutingtheworksafely,efficiently,andinaccordancewiththeprojectplans,specifications,schedule,budget,quality standards,andcontractualrequirements.

Workinginpartnershipwith Project Managementandothermembersoftheoperationsteam ,the Superintendentleadsfieldpersonnelandsubcontractors,coordinates resources,resolvesoperationalissues,andmaintainsproductiverelationshipswithclientstosupportsuccessfulprojectcompletion.

• Ensuresthatpropersafetyplanningisincludedinallpre-jobplanningandconsideredforemostinthedailyoperationsbycreatingandmaintainingacultureinwhicheveryemployeeandsubcontractorisexpectedtoworksafelyandisheldaccountableforsafebehavior.
• Conductrequiredsafetymeetings,pre-task planning,andjobhazardanalysis.
• EnsureemployeesandsubcontractorsuserequiredPPEandcomplywithOSHArequirements,site-specific requirements,andcompanysafetypolicies.
• Promptly identify,address,documentandcommunicateunsafeconditions,incidents,near misses,andcorrectiveactionincoordinationwiththe

  Committee.

• Superviseaprojectonyourownandeffectivelycommunicatewiththeclient,project teams,andotherinternalstakeholders.
• Demonstratetheabilitytomovebetweenprojectsandmanagemultiplecrewsifrequired.
• Createdailyandthree-weekschedulesinaccordancewiththeoverallprojectscheduleandcommunicateexpectationstoappropriatepersonnel.
• Maintaintheappropriateamountoflabortostreamlineprojectcompletioninthemostefficientmannerpossible.
• Planequipmentneeds,order materials,andotherjobsiteresourcestosupportefficientandtimelyexecution.
• Identifyproductivityoroperationalissuesandtakecorrectiveactiontominimizescheduledelaysandcostimpacts.
• Ensuretasksareperformedinaccordancewithapprovedplans,specifications,submittals,permits,contract requirements,andqualitystandards.
• Willingnesstoparticipateasaworkingmemberofacrewifnecessary.

• Monitordailyproduction,labor,equipment utilization,quantities,andjobcostsagainsttheprojectestimate,budget,and schedule.
• Reviewdailyandweeklycostandproductivityreportswiththe Senior Superintendent ,Project Manager,orProject
  
  Executivetoidentifyareasrequiringattention.
• Developandimplementcorrectivemeasureswhenproductionorcostsdonotmeetexpectations.
• Properlycodelabor,materials,trucking,andothercoststosupportaccuratereporting.
• Protectcompanyresourcesbypromotingtheefficientuse,care,andsecurityoflabor,equipment,tools,and materials.

• Representthecompanyprofessionallyinprojectmeetings,ownerorcontractormeetings,andinternalstrategysessions.
• Maintainandbuildeffectiveworkingrelationshipswithclients,owners,inspectors,subcontractors,vendors,field personnel,andotherprojectstakeholders.
• Responsibleforallprojectsurveylayoutandcompleteas-builtplandataincollaborationwiththeappropriatesurveyandprojectpersonnel.
• Managethefieldaspectsofallsubcontractors,including safety,schedule,quality,productivity,and compliance.
• Coordinaterequiredinspections,testing,permits,anddocumentationwiththeprojectteamandappropriateoutsideparties.

• Performallprojectinformationreportingasrequired,includingbutnotlimitedtodailyreporting,production reports,dailycrewschedule,andthree-weeklookaheadschedules,safetydocumentation,materialandtruckingtickets,As-built information,photographs,andothersupportingdocuments.
• IdentifyandmanageT&Mand Change Orderwork .
• Supportpunchlistcompletion,demobilization,turnoverandcloseoutactivities.

• UnderstandandimplementGPSandmachinecontrolsystemsasapplicable.
