About Us

Just blocks from the beach and overlooking downtown Belmar, Beach Haus Brewery is a 20,000+ square foot brewpub offering three stories of unique, versatile event space. Once home to the iconic Freedman’s Bakery, our building now hosts everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations for up to 600 guests.

Since opening our doors in 2015, we’ve grown from a 30-barrel brewhouse into a full bar and restaurant with a thriving private events program. Our team proudly hosts 4–5 events per week year-round, ranging from weddings and corporate outings to social celebrations.

About the Role

Beach Haus Brewery is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Event Assistant to support our Events Manager in the planning and execution of private and semi-private events. The ideal candidate is a people person with excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and a desire to create memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our venue spaces, event operations, and package offerings to effectively assist clients.
  • Manage incoming event inquiries via phone and online platforms and ensure timely, professional follow-up communication.
  • Maintain and organize the event inquiry database with accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with the Events Manager to finalize event details and assist with pre-event coordination.
  • Provide hands‑on support during events — including setup, breakdown, and on‑site client service to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support the Events Manager with administrative and operational tasks as needed, adhering to established procedures and brand standards.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on the event calendar, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of event planning or hospitality experience (required).

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability.
  • Professional demeanor and a team‑oriented mindset.
  • Computer literacy and comfort with event management systems or databases.
Schedule
  • 15–20 hours per week
