Certified Landscape Architect – French & Parrello Associates
Pay RangeBase pay: $75,000–$120,000 per year (commensurate with experience and skills).
Responsibilities- Lead design and execution of landscape architecture projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals, budget, and timeline.
- Develop and present design proposals, including conceptual and schematic designs, technical drawings, and 3D models.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with internal teams, clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Conduct site analysis and assess environmental, regulatory, and cultural factors that may impact the project.
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules for landscape projects.
- Oversee the preparation of design documentation, including landscape plans, grading plans, planting plans, and hardscape details.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant local codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to integrate landscape designs with architecture and engineering elements.
- Mentor and guide junior landscape architects and designers, providing leadership and fostering professional development.
- Collaborate with engineers, urban designers, and architects to ensure cohesive project integration.
- Perform site visits to monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure design implementation is on track.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture.
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and continued business development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 5–10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a portfolio of diverse completed projects.
- Landscape Architect licensure required (LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications a plus).
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and other landscape design software (Rhino, GIS, or 3D modeling software is a plus).
- Strong understanding of site planning, grading, drainage, planting design, and environmental sustainability.
- Proven experience managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design ideas and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong ability to produce high‑quality, accurate design work, and attention to detail in technical documentation.
- A creative and forward‑thinking approach to landscape design, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
- Strong leadership skills with a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.
- A passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor environments.
The projected compensation range is $75,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and skill set.
