Landscape Architect

Principal Landscape Architect at Bosenberg & Co Landscape Architects is seeking a landscape architect/designer with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills to join our team. We are a landscape architecture firm with a rich history of designing exquisite landscapes while considering all aspects of land‑use and the construction process.

A licensed landscape architect is preferable, but we will consider candidates on a path to becoming licensed or candidates with the experience to navigate all facets of high‑level projects. Candidates should have experience managing all aspects of the design process, including client and contractor communication. Ideal candidates will have a combination of project management and communication skills to ensure expectations and timelines are met and should be comfortable working in the office or on‑site.

Applicants should be well versed in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and hand illustration, and must be able to handle client contact and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with the municipal approval process for residential and commercial projects is a plus. The position requires both creativity to solve problems and practicality to manage project details, as well as the ability to give and receive feedback gracefully.

Responsibilities:

• Creating drawings and plans to meet client requirements and communicate design ideas using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and hand illustration.
• Analyzing complex environmental reports and using the knowledge gained in designs/plans.
• Providing recommendations on conservation and sustainability issues.
• Writing proposals based on client needs.
• Liaising with fellow architects, project managers, engineers, and clients.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of landscape design experience.
• Degree in Landscape Design/Architecture preferred.
• Curiosity in adjacent fields such as permaculture, horticulture, agriculture, and arboriculture.
• Proficiency with landscape design software and related office software.
• The ability to understand written and verbal specifications.
• The ability to respond well to feedback.
• General knowledge of permitting and zoning processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
